Account Validation

Glomo offers Confirmation of Payee to help you ensure that funds are sent to the correct bank account. You can verify that the actual account holder's name matches the intended beneficiary’s name, reducing the risk of misdirected payments.

Account validation is built into our payout flow. If you’re using the Glomo dashboard, you can validate a beneficiary before making a payout. For added flexibility, we also provide APIs that allow you to integrate the account validation process into your own systems.
With Glomo, you can validate bank accounts in more than 25 countries by simply submitting account details, such as the bank account number and the account holder's name.

Match

Account found and is registered under the same name.

Partial match

Account found and is registered to someone with a similar name. For example, you entered Mick Jager instead of Mick Jagger.

No match

Account is found but is registered to a different name.

Account dormant

Account is found but is registered to a different name.


Account Validation States

Below are the different statuses an account validation ID can hold:

Created Glomo has initiated confirmation of payee and it’s in progress.
Success Glomo has successfully performed the validation.
Cancelled Glomo does not support verifying account details of a beneficiary in this country or was unable to perform account validation.
